(SO)LIDARY is an ERASMUS+ project organised by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bulgaria Association that promotes volunteering and volunteer management by giving the participants methods and tools through non formal education.
The project included different activies as: team building, debates, visit to a youth center in Plovdiv, workshops, energizers and other different activities in order to give the participants new knowledge, motivation to be a volunteer and how to coordinate them and how to involve other people to become volunteer.
Eight countries took part in the project: Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Turkey, Greece, Poland and Lithuania. The training lasted for 5 working days and took place in Eco Hotel Zdravetz.
During the days we had the activity program, and during the evenings we had the opportunity to present our cultures and countries by giving a presentation and a taste of local foods, drinks and traditions.
In one of the days we went to Plovdiv, where we met people involved in local volunteer work. We also went sightseeing into the old town and learned new things about local culture.
In the end of the training there were open space and reflection sessions, which gave participants an opportunity to discuss important topics that appeared during the activities.
The project ended with final evaluation which included the Youthpass certificate.
